FOR EVERYONE
Accessibility
The Flamingo Flock is intended to be usable by everyone. If you have difficulty using any part of this site, or notice something that could work better, please send us a note through our feedback form and we'll do our best to improve it.
What we aim for
We design and test the site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, as our technical target. That includes:
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
- Images have text descriptions, and form fields have labels, instructions and announced errors.
- Text and controls are designed to meet contrast guidelines, and pages work zoomed to 200% and on small phones.
- The flock map is also available as a plain text list of where each Ducklingo was last seen, right below the map.
- Animations are reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
Known limitations
- The interactive map itself is a visual aid; use the text list under it for the same information.
- Photos are shared by finders and described by where they were taken, not by what's in each picture.
- The optional “are you human” check is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile, which offers its own accessible alternatives.
Tell us about a problem
The quickest way is the feedback form — tell us the page you were on and what happened. You can also email hello@ducklingos.com.
